It’s been a while since I posted. 2015 was a roller coaster ride.
It was a roller coaster year because we were learning. We learned what we are and what we are not. We learned who are parters were and who were not. We learned who our valuable employees were and who were not. In short, we ended up better, but not without some pain and costly mistakes.
The bottom line is we made it. And, most importantly, we found the right group of customers and employees.
What are we? We are a small design automation shop. This means that we take on overflow projects that most internally available resources do not have time for. We have expertise in mechanical and electrical design of equipment. We will help you find a solution for your automation needs. We do not assume the customer’s risk, but help them find the best solution. We will help you solve your problem step by step: identification of the solution, design, design approval by our customer, build and debug. We are also a very good quick turnaround machine shop. We work quickly on those small immediate needs that bigger shops do not want to do.
What are we working on and what fits us best?
We are more risk adverse than we are when we started. Our projects tend to be smaller. In the first year, we took everything. Some of those bigger projects led to bigger risks. We decided that was not our model.
Our better fit is projects that are smaller in scope or that take small steps to reach the final product. What does this include? We landed our first Robotics project this year and we believe we will have 5 in total in 2016. I will produce a video of the project, when it goes live later this month. We continue to do lots of work in the automotive industry with Delphi. We now have approximately 25 customers and at least 10 of those are active with automation projects. We have a completely full work load for the first two months of 2016 and feel positive about our trend.
