20 Feb Lots of Good stuff happening
It’s mid February and the weather certainly meets expectations. My temperature gauge said -20 as I pulled into the parking lot this morning. But, as cold as things were outside, we had high levels of activity going on this week at Warren Design & Build. We had approximately 20 customer visitors this week. Two of those are new working on very nice design builds. Some of you reading this blog, may be newly acquired contacts on LinkedIn. Thank you for reading the blog and send me a note if you have comments or questions.
So, what is hot this week? We have a spectacular trade show exhibit being built. I am using time lapse photography to capture the build which will occur and complete over the next two weeks. This unit is 30 feet long by 5 feet wide by 10 feet tall and weights approximately 12,000 lbs. Matt Flannery is the lead designer on this and has done an outstanding job coordinating all of the internal and external parts. I will post the build video when it is complete.
We are also completing a manufacturing line paint unit which will paint one of our customers products after it is repaired.
Our machine shop was extremely full and the guys have been working 10 hour days to catch up. Great effort all around.
We completed and presented concept designs for an automatic coffin maker, an assembly machine for small machined parts and also completed some design work for the automotive industry.
Our plates are full and we are growing. It’s always a balance between growth and having enough people but not too many. Next week will again be a big week, as we work to complete the trade show unit and present some other new ideas for more work. Our team is working on high levels of stress and excitement at the same time. I am more and more optimistic every day. Thanks for reading the blog.
