04 May What Doesn’t Kill You, Makes You Stronger
As we enter week 7 or 8 of this pandemic, I am starting to see that it seems to be nearing the end and we at Warren Design & Build want to thank our great customers and suppliers who have allowed us to stay in business. This has been a testing time and a frightening time. As a small company, every wave is an uncertainty, but this storm had us all thinking and appreciating what we have.
Where we are now: Warren Design & Build was fortunate to not lay off anyone during this period. We were busy and busy practicing social distancing. Work continued and when we did not have work, we did building maintenance. Our current employment level is now at 21 people and we are open and ready to service our customers.
Changes: My last blog entry was July 2018, almost 2 years ago, when we purchased the assets of a machine shop in Boston MA. The acquisition went very well, but I did not have time to update my website. You may notice that we changed our website look and I will try to do a better job of updating pictures and the blog. In addition to the website, we added 3 new CNC machines and 4 lathes, we also upgraded some of our Bridgeport mills. This has significantly increased our machining capacity and our ability to respond to emergencies.
We also added a service department and now have 3 people available to perform field service on equipment. This rapid response has allowed us to expand our service capability to all customers for both mechanical and electrical needs.
There are many more changes that I will start to share over the next couple of weeks. Again, the pandemic which has shut much of our country down has been devastating to our economy, but Warren Design & Build is stronger than ever and is anxious to service your needs, big or small.
